    Gas shock upgrade - Ranger 2001 520vx

Has anybody removed the shock of your front center lid and installed dual shocks (one on each sides of the lid). I am sick and tiered of having the lid fall on my head when I'm looking for that prefect bait. So I was originally going to upside the shocks power but I'm afraid that the extra pressure on the mount will eventually weaken it. If I do this, I'm not sure where to mount the supports.

I put a stronger shock in and have had no trouble with it falling down anymore. Did the same with the rod lockers.

Amistad Tackle, Sounds like that's what I'm going to do.

the Ranger lids have a metal plate imbedded in them where the screws go for the shocks. Adding another may not hold that well.
