Our local weather guesser is forecasting at least 3 inches of rain locally as a result of the storm in the gulf. Will he finally get it right, he guessed 90% chance a while back and we didn't get a drop. Didn't have any predicted a couple weekends ago and it rained so hard for a short time you couldn't see where you were driving. Will he get even close this time?

According to an old weatherman in FT.Worth it means there is a 50% chance it might rain in your back yard but it will probably only rain in your neighobors yard.

Had our first rain this morning about 9:30. Rained hard enough I couldn't see some buildings about a mile down the interstate. Just overcast now but I think there's some intermittent rain out there. Looks like no yard mowing tonight. Darn.

Well, the illustrious weather guessers totally missed it again, but I shouldn't gotten my hopes up. The most moisture on my face has been the sweat while mowing. Hope you folks north and east of us receive some measurable/beneficial rain. Guess that is the kind of job to have, tell people whatever you want, and never be held responsible if you are right or wrong. Could save the government millions by eliminating the NOAA and just leave it in God's hand.

Big clould came up while CE and I were on the lake, it started raining I suggested we head for the ramp (just a little over 1/4 mile from where we were so, we go, by the time I get to the ramp (running 55-60 mph) it had stopped raining and the sun was shining.It did rain a lilbit on the way home, turned on my wipers for 30 seconds.
In other words; NO RAIN&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;

you could see the wall of rain coming right for us .......then nothing......if we had stayed out there we would have gotten soaked ya know
