Johnson and Evinrude carb kits have been E-10 resistant for mucho years. That is why the brown rubber gasket material is used it them.

E-10 is not friendly to us boaters, we're having to jump thru all kinds of hoops for absolutely no gain.............

I'm sure the same was said about the switchover to unleaded gas as well. I must be lucky because I haven't run into any problems with the E-10 fuel.
