    LAPD saved a pilots life in a very close call . Thankful for the jobs the PD and FD's do on a daily basis.

    If you have a similar situation, and have time, get your jumper cables and jumper one rail to the other, it will send a signal to stop the train: Use the spikes if necessary.

    although the battery trick might work, they had no time they just reacted to the circumstance. It's a wonder how they didn't get hit by flying debris.
