Steve through I don't spend much time fishing for them but most of the guys this time of year are fishing the salt water side of Bushy Park on the Cooper River. There are a bunch of creeks in this area with Yellow House being the best IMO. Popping Corks with shrimp or electric chicken grubs fish on a jig head is the norm for the Trout and Reds this time of year.

Been catching Reds for the past several weeks in the Broad and Edisto river and around Hilton Head's Pinkney Island. Fish have been ranging from 13 to 18 inches with 1 or 2 around 20+ inches every now and then. So far, the Strike King red fish magic has done very well in the electric chicken or the pumpkin color w/ a red lead head. My son likes to replace the grub with a 2" storm swim bait sold in paks of 5 in the green perch pattern and spikes the tail chartreuse. Lately, he's been catching the bigger fish but not as many. Tides have been springing, but when they settle down, we like to catch the tide right at the edge of the grass whether its incoming or outgoing. Thats pretty much when its prime

    hope that helps

Thanks guys....The Electric Chicken was the ticket and we had a great day Sat. Fished the Wando I think we put in at Remley's Point...went right past the loading docks and then under another bridge....fished from that bridge on the east side all the to and into the first creek...lots of trout on the rishing tide on a flutter shad then lots of reds around the oyster beds on the falling tide with a 3/8 oz jig tipped with a 4" shad tail...everything in Electric Chicken.

Again..thanks for the advice it was great :)

PS...I had the best seafood chowder I have ever had at Blacks Marina on Santee(its in Cross, SC I think) Friday night...the best!!

Chicken on a Chain, and the New Penny worked from me two weeks ago at North Topsail. Live shrimp on a popping cork if that fails.

Topsail didn't move to South Carolina but the Reds don't check the state lines
