What is the difference between my GT175 and say a GT2.6? I know the 2.6 has fiber reeds and more aggressive porting, but what else? Did it have solid motor mounts, different tuner, carbs etc.
I was just curious.

The 2.6 is a hopped up 235 but uses many components off of a 150/175 as both are cross flows. Stock reeds were stainless porting is different, exhaust plate is different, carbs are different and you have to run high test to make it run. If you really want to make it fly, go to http://www.screamandfly.com they will make it run for you, but make sure you have another block ready to bolt on they will need a rebuild after 100 hours or so. I want some solid motor mounts, but have not been able to find any. So I thought perhaps the GT2.6 may have had them.
My friend has one he parted out, so I was going to see what he had left, they guy that has the parts has a 235, so maybe I could get a few of the things he isn't using.
Man I loved the way that motor ran though, it was something. It had been ported though.
