Re: Places to stay at Douglas (Scott McGehee)

i was there for a federation tournament a few years back and most fishermen stayed at a super 8 at 1410 winfield dunn parkway. the road the goes to the boat ramp is across the street, douglas dam road. there was also a quality inn and suites a few miles down the road that alot of guy's stayed at. if i remember that quality inn had better boat parking, its at 860 winfield dunn parkway. stay out toward the interstate because the traffic the closer you get to pigeon forge is a nightmare!

Exit 417 on I-81 has a few motels and less than 5 minutes from the Dandridge ramp.
You wont have to deal with the Sevierville/Pigeon Forge traffic here.

if you're gonna be there longer than 2 nights, here's some houses/cabins. i've stayed in a couple and they're pretty nice. call the lady and tell her how many boats/etc and she'll help you out.

But the tourney is out of the dam ramp so i'd stay right at exit 407 beside bass pro shop. Its only 2 miles from douglas dam road, theres a new hampton, comfort and quailty inn right there.

The info BASS sent says The Point Marina so I think we're closer to exit 417, but I'm not sure. My map shows the Point Marina being where that bridge goes across the lake.

Thanks for all the info. I made reservations at the Super 8.

Dang Brad! You still there? How did you do this weekend. I don't think anything can top that big girl you showed me. You just going to move in Jefferson Inn Thanks for all the help this weekend Brad, if ya need anything just yell. htI preferred the Confort Inn up on the hill. Best two nights of sleep I ever got. I even aske the manager to call and see if I could buy the matress set. He told me no, we can''t do that. The thing is, i was serious.

Re: Places to stay at Douglas (crossbones)

I need a good map and a starting point... I will be down on Friday April 28th-30th for some fun fishing. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The Point is a great place to stay, it has its own launch ramp and boat pier to tie up to or even get a slip, and a restaurant. Very clean with nice lake views.
