    update on Fastrike problem

    well Buddy came by today and found a gas leak on the filter at the motor not sure this is the cause of all my problem but sure it wasn't helping didn't have a chance to bring her to the water but will and will let you know what problems still exist if any maybe this is part of the bogging on take-off or not being able to put her on the trailer will keep you posted all electrical that he tested checked out fine so far.

    I have had that happen before, and it will totally PISS you off. My boat would get up to about planing, and then stumble. When it finally did plane, it ran ok, but good grief was it every frustrating.

    You should have seen fuel on the water if it was leaking there, and smelled gas. I don't like to have fuel leaks.

    well just got back from the lake no more leak but that wasn't the problem still bogging after sitting for 1/2 hr or so and then trying to take off.It's better but not right tach still cutting out too so I'm still leaning towards eletrical but trying everything any other suggestions?

    You may have a regulator going bad or a pack. I would check all your grounds on the engine, make sure they are clean and tight.

    I would also check and make sure you don't have air getting into your fuel system somewhere.

    Hey Craig...is there any way to do a leak down test on the fuel system??
    Just can't leave well enough alone!!

    I don't know about that. It doesn't recirculate, and the tanks are vented.

    What I did on mine was disconnect the fuel line where it goes in the filter, and squeeze the bulb. If it shoots a strong steady stream of fuel, then I would say its ok.

    Craig needs to do some tweeking on his.

    well buddy came by while I was at work was checking eletrical system again but found another gas leak where the line goes into the vapor system o-ring 333639 replaced that and put some new clamps on some other hoses rpms went way up at idle nice and smooth and no skippin can't wait to get her to the water for the real test thanks for everyones imput really appreciated it will post after the water test ok noticed exhaust boot is leaking inside of cowl will have to replace that too.
