    Froat-n-Fry advice?

    Float-n-fly??
I just can't make myself stick with it long enough to catch a fish. I guess there are two parts I just don't get.

Been told to fish around the same depth you see fish/baitfish on your graph. But, in the clearer (smallie) lakes around here. The water is around 45 degrees and heading down colder. All the baitfish I see on the screen are hovering near 40ft deep. So, I just grab a jig and start dragging main lake points. And don't even attempt float-n-fly.

Unless I'm looking in the wrong areas? I can idle the coves and creek arms and any baitfish are still near 40ft.

Do I trust that, or just head to the nearest bluff wall with float/fly rod?

Just looking for some help as to when to use this and what kind of structure am I looking for.
    Thanks in advance.
I think the new secret color is "A-Rig"..........

If no luck on the bluffs, fish 45° points. I generally have the most luck fishing the jig in the 12-15' range.

They'll come up and get it sometimes... I like to see the bait at about 20' to 25' but have caught quite a few when there was no bait on the screen at all... it can be boring as all get out, but it can be a blast too!
