Well, I for one can't afford to dump out the extra fuel I have, and it hasn't killed my boat in the last 2-3 years. I think I will continue to use what I use and add fresh gas as needed, while changing both fuel/water filters often.
Thank you for the article, very informative. I have been trying to end the fishing season with as little gas as possible in the tanks. Then next season I add fresh gas and replace my fuel/water seperator filter.
thanks again
Guess ill be draining the 20 gallons thats in my tank and throwing it in the beater car this weekend...
+1, I'm with you James. I've been running the same stuff in mine since it was new in 06.....knock on wood, no troubles yet.....mine doesn't sit for more than 2 weeks at a time, so having fuel laying around in it for say 3 months or more is a non issue.
Jr, good to see you on the BBC.![]()
Thanks, James. We got to get together and hit the Potomac sometime. I've been fishing the winter series on Anna on my weekends off all winter. I really was thinking about joining Extreme this season but all of the tourneys are on my work weekends.Maybe next year. You guys got a great bunch of sticks in that club.
