just another BS govt move. Of course they will hide behind Natl. Sec, thank Bin Laden for that, didnt know he hated bass fishermen also.
Buoys (not as nice as the ones pictured) have been in place since they placed the restrictions. They are red ball type normally used for off shore anchor ties ups.
Is this a larger or different area, or are they just getting to putting the bouys up?....
I thought that area was placed off limits last year??

Same area. They just got new markers.
I saw a bunch of boats fishing in the restricted area in October on a Sunday, are the Marines enforcing it?

You can fish inside the creek, you just have to launch back there and cannot come out. So if you saw boat in the back from the road or somewhere then that may have been ok. But if they are on the river they are in restricted area. The area just outside the island is not off limits but inside the island is. Not sure where you saw them.

A MK-19 is what I would use instead.

They were fishing the Point up a the fire station and the riprap at the creek mouth.
I haven't been down in the area since October, have the new bouys been placed?
