Guys, My prop seal is leaking on the old girl and its apparent some water has gotten in as well as the oil is milky looking.
My question is do I have to pull the lower unit and replace all the seals or can I just replace the bottom seal by pulling the prop off since I know for sure that seal is bad?
Also how hard is this TDY type job and is there any special tools needed?

Did any line get wrapped around the propshaft? If it's only leaking at the propshaft, you should be able to just pull the propshaft off and replace the seals on it. I do believe there are a few special tools required but I dont know what they are.

Yep you can do it yourself. You will have to pull the propshaft bearing carrier if you are sure it is those seals. You'll need a long extension for your socket wrench and a 7/16" socket remove the 4 bolts that hold the carrier in and remove the complete carrier from the housing. Use a seal puller and remove the seals. Lube both bearings well with triple guard grease before installing. The seals go back to back so insert the first seal with the rubber seal facing the inside. The second one's metal back abuts the other seal. Apply some gasket adhesive to the outside of the seals before installing them. A seal driver really helps out in the job. you'll need two 330137 seals. Also replace the large O ring on the front side of the carrier and lube it with triple guard grease. No need to pull the LU if you know for certain that the prop shaft seals are leaking.

I am certian its the prop seals as its leaking pretty good. I have pulled the prop to check for line when I first noticed it leaking however didnt see any. I do see the four 7/16 bolt heads you mentioned thats holding the carrier though.
Where is the best place to buy the two seals an O-ring from? Is their a perferred place on-line to order from?

I stopped by my local Evinrude shop and picked up the seals, gasket adhesive, triple guard grease and gear oil. Â the local guy was a bit higher than the internet price however he had all the parts on hand and since I was in the wrenching mood, I loaded them upÂ.
Thank you very much ChampioNman, I followed your instructions and the repair went very smoothly and was done within an hour or so. It was a good learning experience for me plus saved me at least $100 or so doing it myself.
