That's a good Snakehead CIII, I still haven't caught one bigger then about 2 or 3 pounds. Caught on in Quantico Creek first thing Saturday morning. Cut that sucker from one side to the other then, slit it belly all the way down. Damn thing still swam off like a freaking bullet!!

Thansk Larry, Scott! You are right there!!

I cut him with a filet knife from his gills to his anal fin...did the same think and took off like there was nothing wrong with him. BTW that is the most smelly damn fish I have caught in a while...puts a carp to shame!

yeah, there is slime. I did not hook the boca grip in far enough and it tore his lip. So it fell on the deck. then, the fun began to try and push the boca into his mouth when he surely did not want that to happen.

Slimy buggers..but not as bad a catfish. Maybe it is just a size thing!

Funny you mention THAT! The dude that is in the house to the left of the pads shot a ground hog that was in his garden while I was there. He was NOT using a msall caliber either....both Eric and I just kind of stood still on the deck of the boat. Good thing was that there was no CRACK of the bullet going by only the report of the rifle. Dude apologized and said he was sorry he scared the crap (other words) out of us....he must have seen us just standing there looking around....

So, no chootin em in Aquia!!
