Hey all you guys in the martinsburg/winchester/hagerstown area

any interest in starting up a small bass club? No dues or affiliation, just getting together, fishing, bs'in, and maybe doing 1 or 2 trips a year. me and a buddy were talking about starting one up with no drama, politics, etc.

Have 2 private ramps to use for it (one above dam4, one about dam 5), and other local areas. Boaters, non boaters, bikini clad attractive women all encouraged.

Was thinking we'd do a few tournies above 5, above 4, sleepy creek, rocky gap, deep creek. Possibly a trip or two a year to smith mountain or somewhere else cool.

The Seavolts have a open tournament trail and there is also one put on by another group. The second one is a pickup tournament where anyone that shows up can fish and it is a winner take all. These are at Four Locks or Big Slackwater starting in June but theeavolt trail fishes other places. I can contact you when I get more information but the tournaments are usually Wednesday or Thursday afternooon starting at either 4 or 4:30pm to like 9pm? Depending on who is running it it is either 5 best fish or biggest fish?

Whats happening at Four Locks or Slackwater rite now and with in the next week or so? thinkin bout heading up that way to visit didnt know if it was worth tryin to fish down there a day or so?

River is trashed right now,, all this rain,, river is out of the banks and running mud with lots of debris.
Feeder creeks are all out of their banks also,,,, it will be a while before the river gets back to a good condition.

I dont have a boat for the Potomac but if you guys go to Rocky Gap Ill go, Can you put a glass rig in at Rocky Gap ?

ive done it plenty of times. its a pretty good sized lake with a really nice ramp. VERY VERY deep water and not much to run up. its electric only. And above dam 4 and 5 i take my glass boat all the time. Its 10+ feet deep.

sounds good, we have 6 or 7 members interested. We arent going to do meetings due to everyone living in different areas. We were just going to schedule events, meet up, fish, and have fun.
