    Go pro guys step inside….

Trying to decide between the hero 7 and hero 8. I’m new to go pros and wanting to record some vacations and fishing trips. What’s the big difference between the two? Would also consider the 9 if it’s a lot better

I wouldn't recommend a GoPro to anyone. Yes the are pretty awesome......when they work which is not often.

I've not gotten so many good fish catches on camera because the dang thing just stops recording on it own for no reason all the time.

And I've had the 5, 6, and 7. They all did it. I was stupid and kept buying the newer version thinking that would fix it. It never did.

I have a Hero 7 silver and it's a decent little camera. No issues with it so far. The only thing I don't like about it is the battery life and it doesn't have the ability to swap batteries. I didn't want to spend a lot on one though and for what I use it for, it's fine. I'd definitely get one where you can swap in a fresh battery on the go if you plan on using it a lot throughout the day.

I just buy used 3, 3+ and 4 on ebay. Why spend $450 for a camera when I can get the simplest generations of GoPro for $50? Plus you can get extra batteries and you can even get battery eliminators to run on USB power all day.

Not any problems with this one. Can get the accessory kit for around $20

I have a Hero 8 and the only issue I have is it shuts off in the heat. I mean heat Sunday it was 96 with heat index 116 and it was on my head and shut off 5 or 6 times on me over about 8 hours.

I have 2 osmo actions. I mainly use them for motorcycle ride footage. I dont think it can be beat for the money.

Osmo action camera uses all the same mounts for regular gopro cameras. So all the accessories can be used as well. DJI is a top drone choice and this is their 1st action camera.

I have 2 8s. I like how they're all in one (waterproof, mounting tabs flip out from underneath) Get yourself a door with a cutout from ULANZI, so you can directly power it all day long. They've both had small glitches, but keep the software updated and you'll pretty much be fine.

You didn't ask about a 9 but it has one feature I love "hindsight " when used it starts recording 30 seconds prior to pressing the shutter button.
