    Learning the Potomac...

What's going on fellas? I have always stayed away from fishing the potomac for the raw fact of what is beneath the surface in some areas of that river... I need some help in learning how to navigate that river..

is there anyone who knows it like the back of their hand that wouldn't mind helping me learn everything about that river from Key Bridge on the D.C. side... the whole way down to Aquia?

I am wanting to learn new water... Lake Anna Grows old really fast unless you are out there with good friends, family, practicing with new material, or just fishing a good ol tourney... please let me know what you can do and if you can help...

    I appreciate it.

I recommend that you order a map from GMCO MAPS and you can do so at their site, or buy one at Gander Mountain in Fredricksburg, or some WalMarts. You want the PRO SERIES for the Tidal Potomac. They are incredibly detailed on river navigation with bottom contour lines, rock piles, etc. Really study this thing and it will give you a good foundation for going on the river. They are very, very easy to read. I think the cost is $7.95, or at least it used to be.

TC just don't follow me or your skag will be as messed up as mine!!

Or the back deck of your boat will be brown from the mud that will be thrown 30 feet in the air!
