    Potomac Help

Hey guys, I am new to the area and need some help with the Potomac. I just moved here from Camp Pendleton, and am now stationed in Quantico. I would be more than happy to take my boat if anyone would not mind showing me around.

    Thanks,

    Gunny

    David,
Where are you at on Quantico. There are a couple of us that work and are stationed on Q.

Carlos dont know where the fish are. If you want to the where all the big fish on the Potomac are you should ask Favors.

Didn't he roll goose eggs at the rally? Seriously Gunny does know the river very well in deed. I can vouch for sure, as I have seen him with lots of fish on the other end when riding around with him. Notice I said riding around and not riding around and catching fish with him....

OK so I make a serious gamble and it didn't pay off, now I have to live with it for years to come!!!

YES I ZEROED at the RALLY!! I made a 37 mile run that didn't pay off chit!!

Had to happen some time! But man what a chitty to happen!

And I didn't actually zero, I did catch a catfish and a shad on a crankbait!!

    Re: Potomac Help (mikesxpress)

I got out this past weekend with Gunny, and he did show me around a few places. Went to move from one place to another and noticed I had a blown seal on one of my tile and trim seals. Thanks to Gunny making a few calls we got it temporarily fixed and fished the rest of the day. No hawgs, but we did have our fun!! Hopefully I'll get the boat back soon and I'll be out and about,if anyone ever wants to get out let me know I usually have an open seat. BTW if you're on Quantico, look me up I'm at OCS!

I just got here, I'm the new guy!! So far it has been pretty good, and I'm looking forward to being here. It, to me, is 100 times better than Cali!!! Hopefully I'll get my bug back soon and I'll be on the water again soon!

Welcome to the Crossroads...I am here at the Marsh Bldg (HQMC M&RA). Don't know much about the river, heck don't knwo much about fishing eihter . I fish Smith Lake and Lunga (both on base) alot as well as some other local small lakes too. If you ever want to head out let me know. Only have a small (16' jon boat) but you are welcome when there is room.
