After going through an interstate motor rebuild that was a living nightmare I got it back only to discover my mechanic Fuc888ed me. Or at least tried. I tried to work a better price since it took him 3.5 months to do my engine. The guy was Ron Dvorak of Viking Marine Services..I will post more details later. Do not go to this guy as he got mad and while my dad went to get my boat canvas...He flipped the thermostats so the engine would run hot. He did that after the motor was tested. I got home it ran hot. we then called the guy and he said, he knows nothing and would not own up to the fix. The next day my dad, brother, and I went and checked the stats. They were backwards. I will persue him in small claims court.
But now the motor seeems to run ok. Will water test today. $4000 including gas for towing. he was late by 9-10 weeks and only knocked off $300 which $175 I lost for a tourney I registered. He also had a BBB claim back in 1985.
