    Fastest 19’-20’ Bassboat

Out of these boats, which brand and model offers the fastest top end for a 19’-20’. I’m just looking at the 200-225 hp. Dont want a 250.

My guess would be a Phoenix or basscat. Definitely not a ranger. Probably not a nitro but I Don’t know much about that hull. Skeeter would probably be fast too.

Basscat at the top, Phoenix, then Triton, Ranger way down, but to be fair you would have to do a model to model comparison, If speed is your priority, none of these. Using a score of all attributes, I think Basscat is way ahead of everyone

The basscat caracal and Phoenix 919 are pretty close, but I believe the 919 is a touch faster from what I've seen on here. Mid to upper 70's depending on load without much work. 1 for sure cracked 80 with a prop worked just for speed. Most cats I've seen have been low to mid 70's.

I have never been passed by anything but a Allison and a Bullet, 2003 cougar 250PXS, some very close to me though speed wise, runs 76 any day full torment load, ideal conditions much better

If you encounter a Stroker you can add it to the list. You are correct about Allison and Bullet. Possibly add Blazer to the list.

If you want fastest 20ft you want an older Allison or a bullet. Not sure if stroker made a 20ft model or not. Other than that, you can take ranger off the list as it’s going to be the slowest period. Since you don’t want a 250 would be best to stay in 19ft models. You would just have to test ride and see which ones gives you the results you are looking for. But if you want our opinion, I say it all depends on if the boat is set up correctly to run and how much weight you plan on adding to the boat and knowing how to distribute that weight.

As mentioned, you would have to do a model to model comparison. My last two Cats have been in the 19 foot classs, but 200 hp rated (P2 and Classic). They have both been low 70's lightly loaded, maybe a bit faster if one wanted to play with set up and props more than I have. Although I have no experience with Phoenix, which I hear is a fast boat, the comparable model looks like it would be an 819 Pro with a 200.

The BassCat Eyra with a 225 might be as fast as the Caracal, possibly faster. I think the 919 Phoenix is probably the fastest with a 225

So much is going to be load dependent. Some are going to carry a load better and be more sensitive to how heavy the nose is compared to the others. I rearranged your list based on what I have seen and driven. The Basscat and Phoenix will be VERY close depending on the driver. Now if you want to just go fast, the Speed demons mentioned are great boats (Allison, Bullet, Stroker etc). You could also get a Basscat or Phoenix with a Yamadog 225 SHO then have it flashed to 300hp.

    Basscat/Phoenix
    Triton
    Skeeter

    Nitro
    Ranger

    P2 with a 200 will hurt a lot of 250's feelings. Outside of putting a 200 on a 20XD or something I don't know if there's a faster boat with a 200 max rating.
