From my understanding it's been tough fishing for the locals so not sure how well the fish will be biting!! I've only fished it a few times so my best advice is find the coves with the steep drop offs and work those points or deep for some smallies. It's been warm and boat traffic has been nuts all year.

Take lots of tubes.![]()

I had a week long vacation there about a month ago when it was very hot.
All in all the fish were deep in the 20 foot range. We dragged tubes during the mid day and fished senkos at the dock and fished the points and shores in the morning time.
I caught a nice 3.5lb small mouth while there. The north end of the lake dominates the south end by alot. There is a section of docks 2-3 coves down on the right side (if u were traveling north towards the tip) that has very thick grass underneath the docks and we found we pulled the most fish out of there.
Also over near the dam is perfect for draggin tubes and caught alot of good fish there, also one of the best spots is just left of the police station to the right of the damn there is a rocky area and we caught a ton from there.
Also the largest island on the north end is extremely rocky and holds some good fish. Just bring a ton of plastics with you for the trip, watermelon with some red flake did best for us. Hope this helps.
