Does this lake have smallmouth?
Thanks for the info. What's the best lake in OK for decent smallmouth action?
On Oologah, I've caught them on gravel bars and points, not large rocks. Sure like crawdad looking jigs. Especially in the spring. Smallmouth are my favorites, see the picture to the left.
Try Skiatook, the numbers are very good and they can be cought all over the lake.

Pumpback held the state record smallie for a short while, then it was bumped by a bigger smallie out of Eufala.
I've seen several 5lb+ smallies come out of P-back in the early Spring.
I've got a lake house on Eufaula and fish it more than any other lake and I've never caught a smallmouth there. I know they are there but I wouldn't say it is known for smallies. Weekly jackpots there are very few weighed in. every time I have fished Murray I have caught several and Texoma also.

Eufaula from Standing Rock out to the dam....I saw a big smallie by Standing Rock that came up after a crank bait. Never hit and just hung around a ledge. My biggest smallie came from Texoma (5.5lb) on a crank bait. Caught a ton of smallies out of Murray and Arbuckle. Mostly 2-3 lbers, but lots of them.
