Grand in October is usually really good. The tourney weights are usually down a little but the fishing is good. During that time you should be able to catch them about any way, there will still be fish on main lake points and fish up shallow. You should be able to catch fish from the dam to all the way up the river, just unload you boat and fish what you like to do.
