Sooner Run Elite Event

It looks as if I will be coming up to Muskogee area for this event as a Marshal, and was wanting to get some hotel info. in the area.

Any suggestions, or inside scoop on the area would be appreciated.

Lock EVERYTHING!!!! Hell, put it in your room!!! Every club event I fished out of Muskogee, someone(often several) people had their trucks and/or boats broke into at the hotel. The Ditch is an interesting fishery though! Always a lot of fun!!

I am not sure that will keep them out. By the end of it, there will be alot fishing equipment for sale in Green Country area pawn shows...... Hopefully they will have the National Guards on patrol during the week.

Yep, be dang careful in Muskogee, it's earned it's nickname of "the murder capitol of Oklahoma" due to all the meth gang activity in recent years. If I'm going to be in that town longer than just driving through, I'm always carrying 2 & spare clips for both. Wish I could get referred to OKC VA hosp instead of Muskogee's VA center.
Seriously Bob, look at staying in Wagner instead and don't trust anyone who approaches you in Muskogee. Hope ya have a great and safe time!

I would most definitely stay in Ft. Gibson or Wagoner. Ft. Gibson is closer though......
