I would suggest calling Bryce Archey. He is one guide that knows his stuff, and if I could afford it, I would hire him every year.

    Hey Ed,

When you coming to Broken Bow?

I've been on the lake a lot recently.

You can catch about anything you want or don't want right now.

Broken Bow Lake is probably one of the most beautiful lakes in the country.

The fishing has temendous since the middle of February.

We are catching just about everything you could imagine!

Most of the smallmouth are coming from the lower end of the lake.

The walleye can be caught real early in the morning or late in the evening up in shallow flats or next to the steep bluffs. They seem to be a little deeper during the day, but can be caught off of windy points.

We are catching some good bass on spinnerbaits, shad raps, and sexy shad crank baits. They are beginning to show up in the spawning areas and will soon be hitting the finese rigs.

The sand bass are being caught just about every where and are begining to school up. You can catch these fighters on spoons and rattle traps.
Please keep all you catch and take them home with you!

There have even been some big hybrids caught up the river.

And,.... the crappie are on the bank!

We do have a slot limit on Broken Bow for bass. Everything from 13-16 inches must be release back.

There is no size limit or amount limit on Kentuckies.

Walleye must be over 18 inches.

No size limit on crappie but can can only have 37 per person.

Hope this helps you out. I try to fish with my boy every time he comes in.

If you give me some notice about when you are coming, I will be glad to help out,( If I Can take off WORK).

Would be glad to show you around. Maybe you could show me aroud one of the lakes near you. ( Fork would be great!).

I am not a guide, but I have been fishing Broken Bow Lake since 1975.

You and your boy should have a great time on Broken Bow if you come within the next 3 to 4 weeks.

    Good Luck!
