    Hidden big bass lakes

Been fishing/camping Sardis Lake every year for 20 years now, would like to change it up this year.
What are a few of the best smaller lakes in Oklahoma that provide nice camping and the chance at a double digit bass?

Re: Hidden big bass lakes (haleconst)

I want to say that Longmire has been producing some big ones the last few years. I've never been there so I don't even know where it is at. It may not even be the one that I am thinking of but I do know that there is a little lake close to broken bow that has been putting out brutes the last few years. WEs Watkins is another good lake but I don't know if it has double digit caliber.

Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!! My brother in law lives about 15 minutes from Longmire. Yes, it does have some HAWGS in it. We go down every spring. 45 more days til our spring trip this year. Quantities suck but the ones ya do catch are HUGE. He's caught numerous over 10 lbs and recently missed out on the lake record by a mere 4 ounces. Coincidentally, the lake record was caught just mere hours before he caught his. I believe both were well over 12.

The lakes suggested all sound great for a day of fishing, but I looked them up and there isn't much for camping. Taking the wife and kids, brother and his family too. Is McGee Creek as good as advertised?

Lake Purcell is a small lake with great camping sites. Nice fish and small enough to not be an issue with high winds. Just don't go during one of their local tournaments...it gets very crowded. Tournaments this year are March 21, Apr 18, May 2, June 6, and Sept 19, with championship on Oct 3. Good luck!
