Selling a small block 200 etech

I bought a new 2007 Legend from a dealer off the internet last spring with a small block 200 etech last spring. I soon realized why I got the boat so cheap! He couldn't sell it because this motor has no business being on a bass boat- no torque and little power! Anybody know adealership I can get a fair tradein? Bass boat dealers don't seam to want it! It has less than 60 hours. It has been checked out at a dealership. Evinrude wasn't much help.

May want to try Roland Martins marine they are a board sponsor. Caveat Emptor= let the buyer beware.

I have one on my stratos 294xl and it performs well. It's only 19.5' boat though. Definitely took some prop adjustment.

Re: Selling a small block 200 etech (kytransplant)

I have this motor on a 18.5 ft 1360lb boat. I can't get it over 64mph gps. I had it looked at and got told Evinrude reps advise not to put this motor on bass boats. A 200 ficht on a heavier boat will out run it. If you got any ideas, i'm all ears! I have a 24 pitch fury on it now. I get better hole shot, but it struggles with a partner and full live well.

What are you asking for this engine and what type of warranty is offered with the purchase?

I would put a 23p gade on it.

I had a 3 liter 200 Venom on a pig boat, that that is about all it would run. I would have the engine checked out, and I would do some playing around with props. A 4 blade is going to come out of the hole better, and it may give you a little better lift, which ought to help as well.

I'm currently checking out a different local dealership, trying to find out what another motor is going to cost me. The warranty goes until the end of next year. If you are interested or have questions my email is indyufan1@mchsi.com.
