I was going to go down first weekend in April, but this cold front moved in!!!!!. Let me know when that Sardis water gets up to around 65 or 70 degrees.
Fished it on the 19th. Fish were shallow (less than two foot) Brown spinnerbait, white spinnerbait. Water temp 50
I'm headed down there on the 10th. Hope the weather cooperates more than it did on my last trip.
I guess I'm going down now around the 15th through 20th. { depending on the weather }Any bigun's outa there lately?
Lake Record?! There has been alot of 11's and even some 12's come out of there. I know, I've seen a handful of them. There are some other records on file right? Chuck Justice has some fish on the State record files out of Sardis that are over 11 I believe.
We fished the 20th - 22nd. a few guys in our group had fish over 8. the week before a guy from here had one over 10, then one over 8. water temp when we were there was 58 to 60. white spinnerbait was what we caught our fish on then we had a few fish around 4 on crankbaits.

I guess I'll be headed there Thursday and staying until Tuesday. Hope the weather holds up and the bass too. Right now they are calling for rain thursday and friday......A little rain is not bad, but hope the wind isn't 40 mph!
Well, I went to Sardis. Caught alot of fish....but most were small Kentuckies, I'm afraid they are taking over down there! Caught a few bass in the #3 and #4. Had a really nice one on a buzzbait, but didn't make it in the boat. probably around #8. Caught all the fish way back in the grass. Watched a weigh in on saturday. Big bass was 6.2. several #5's brought in. 30+ boats Winner had 5 fish and 19+ pounds. Next week ought to be REALLY good. water temps were low 60's.
Seen a guy catch a #7 on a small spinnerbait in the cove we were camped in at Potato hills. Fishing from shore. Pretty sure it's dead now!!!! He took pictures with his cell phone for 5 minutes, dropped the fish on the road about 3 times. Then when he finally let it go, he slung it about 10' out into the water. Fish are pretty tough, never saw it floating for 2 days, so hopefully it survived.
Hey, that guy was by my Lodge the other day showing off his pic. on his cell! lol
Fish here are about to come off their beds, & fishing is great here now! Had two 5+ Sunday, took Mama Crappie fishing Mon. afternoon and 3 of us quit at 100. Tuesday had a 6+ & 8+, plus cleaned 48 BIG Sandies!
