Hi There got a Johmson 50HP that has stopped firing on cylinder 1. checked plugs checked coils changed power pack last thing is the sensor coil. would i be right that the coil could have gone on the one side. Is there a good on-line site to buy a new / second hand coil.

Check continuity on the stator also.
Would this take out one cylinder ?.

Put in a new triger/sensor coil and still not firing on the top cylinder. Anybody got any ideas . cheers
Did you check plug wire or coil ohms? You can always move the coil to another cylinder.
How did you check the spark?
With the spark plugs or another devise?
im haveing the same problem with the same exact motor. checked for fire, and both cylinders are not firing. whats the best way to check, cus all i could do by my self is rig something up to turn the key and hold a screw driver to the plugs. any better way.
