Usually by the time it rolls around there is little to do here and I am ready for a road trip that will include a stop at Outdoor World and Cattleman"s. Do any of you know what the dates are for this year's show?

There is a rv & boat show on jan. 14-16. Then on jan. 27-29 & feb.3-5 is the boat show.
OH MAN...YOU GUYS ARE KILLING ME OVER HERE! Boat Show, Outdoor World, Cattlemans!!!....I need to take some leave!
The free boat show is this weekend starting the 13th (which is Friday) and running through Sunday.
I have never gone to the earlier boat and RV show...is it a pretty good show? From an ad on TV I got the impression there might not be that many boats to look at.

When you are in OKC this year on your boat & tackle tour check out Sportsman's Warehouse on Memorial Road by Quail Springs Mall. Great new store. It's kind of like Cabela's.
When did that go up? When I was home over the summer of course I went to BPS downtown to look around but, did most of my buying at Academy in Edmond...
About a year ago. It has just about everything and they offer a 5% military discount....all the time, not sporadically like BPS.
The regular OKC Boat Show hours are Friday 4 - 9 pm, Saturday 10 am - 9 pm and Sunday 11 am - 5 pm. Admission is $5 but you can pick up $1 off coupons at any 7-11.
Fishing dept. is much larger than Academy and if they don't have what you want they will order it.
NICE! Will have to check that out when I get home!
Did the Boat Show Saturday and had a great time. Was surprised that there were many more pleasure boats on display than bass and fishing boats. Also appeared that the number of metal boats at the show was down. I saw no two man boats. Seemed like the number of associated businesses that have the space next to the walls was down from previous years.
Took a pass on Cattlemens, they had folks lined up out the door at 2:30 PM. I think there was a rodeo downtown. We ate at the Bourbon Street Cafe in Bricktown...it was very good.
Sportsmen Warehouse had a booth at the show and gave away a ten dollar coupon good at the OKC store. They also had a barrel of high end rods at $55.00 each. I had a couple of BPS gift cards so we went to Outdoor World after lunch. They had a lot of their rain and camo clothing on sale, some was 50% off.

Sounds like a good way to spend a winter Saturday!!!
And it finally rained on Saturday. The Tackle show is the 16 - 19 of February.
The tackle show was always my favorite....is it going in the Made in Oklahoma Building again this year?
Actually they are expanding and have it in three buildings now.
