i stop by muskogee walmart sat nite and brought a falcon rod 7 ft med action for 49.00 and a garcia 5600dc reel for 54.00 and 4 flw rain suits for 40.00 ea. two for me and two for gambler4. anybody else founded anything good?????

Our walmart sucks they don't carry any of that stuff......tons of plastic crappie jigs and spoonbill junk.......
I really don't know enough about real high end fishing rods to know what average retail would be, but the local Wall's Bargain Center has a group of fishing rods that are 50% of their price tag. There are some St. Croix and Loomis rods and other brands I had not ever heard of. Some of the tags are in the $500.00 to $750.00 range. There are a lot of fly rods and salt water rods, however, I did see some freshwater gear. This was several weeks ago, but doubt at those prices they will move very fast. They do not appear to be damaged in any way.

I was at the Wal-Mart in Vinita on 2-13-05 and got a 7' and a 6'6" Falcon for $30.00 each. They only had these two left or I would have gotten a few more. We then went to the Claremore tackle show and spent a little more, but could not find any bargains that good.
that was a great deal on the falcon rods and i thought the claremore show is going down hill, like the tulsa boat.
I went to the Wall Mart in Tulsa, and found about 10 Rapalas for $2 each, some bombers for $1, and some spiderwire for $3 and some spoons. Spent about $50 on $300 worth, wish they had more....
just bought red river f5 spinner baits at acadamy for 2.88 less 20
