Water pressure on 2007 225 HO

Got a 2007 225HO set up on a 2000 522 RAnger. I've got a 6" manual jack plate and have the motor at the highest and best running position for a 25 Tempest Plus. I do not remember the exact height of the motor but it is set were most people told me to run it.
My water pressure gauge does read at idle. At 1500 to 2000 it will show a reading of 5 to 9 lbs. On pad and running it will read 12 to 13.5 at 3500 or greater. My problem is that it does not go any higher than this at higher RPMs and trim levels. It does not drop but will not go higher. Motor has 72hrs on it.
Do I need to drop the motor about 1/4" and should I set the motor on 50 oil setting . I run the 100 oil. I have had the temp alarm and ??? software up grade.

I'd like to see the motor pumping 18 to 21 PSI at 5900. so unless you have a bad impeller I'd lower the motor to3 1/2 to 4" below the pad and run a Raker 26p. A member of our club has a 07 Z20 with 225HO and a 10" hydr jack plate and was having a problem with the motor 's heat alarm going off in turns. I drove it and got the same thing. We started lowering the JP until it no longer sounded the alarm. Even so I had him go in for a new impeller just to be safe. I haven't heard anymore complaints except for the cranking battery going south and he had to be towed it.........

Your pressure should be 3 psi @ idle and minimum 15 psi @ wot.

If it's not you could substitute another psi gauge to verify your gauge is correct.

If pressure is still below above numbers you should take it in to have the cooling system inspected.

I would have the oil setting changed to TCW-3 and run the XD-100.

Definately go to the TCW3 setting to be safe. Stick with the 100 oil. Best there is.
