Surgeon knot anyone use that for braid to fluoro ??

Is anyone using this knot for braid to fluoro and how does it work for you and last ,right now I'm using the Crazy Alberto knot. But the surgeon knot looks easy and was wondering how it compares to the other for strength and passing through the eyes ??

I've used it out on the water. I'd call it a modified surgeon because I loop the braid and fluoro back so that the knot has 2 strands of each. Holds up okay, but I wouldn't recommend an elite series hookset when you get a bite. I am using it for drop-shots occasionally.

That was the knot that was pictured and recommended on the original Spiderwire package. It's what I have always used and it passes easily through the rod eyes because once it is tightened down, you can cut the tag ends flush with the knot.

I used to use a triple surgeon knot braid to fluoro, after a few heartbreaks I switched to a double uni. It holds up well but I retie every trip. Going to the FG knot this year. Maybe I wasn’t having it sit perfectly flat. The surgeon knot is easy to tie but not worth it to me if it breaks off on one fish a year.
