    Smallmouth in Norman

One of the guys in our weekley old guy/retired guy/not working guy $5.00 big fish tourney caught a smallmouth in Davidson creek yesterday. First one I have seen, pretty neat.

Yep there's a few living in ol Lake Norman. Not native to the lake so they must be transplants from Lake James, etc! Kind of how the spotted bass got here I'd guess. Glad to hear about them, hope they make it and flourish.

There are hybrid stripers in here now too. The Striper clubs put over 5,000 fingerlings in this Winter. Those are going to wreck people's AL rigs.

The spots were put in by anglers in the dead of night along with alewives and bluebacks. The DNR had nothing to do with. If was up to them it would still be the dead sea. Now if we could just figure out a way to kill all them damn grass carp the state keeps puttin there that lake would be awesome.
I don't always find schooling fish but when I do I backlash on the first cast
