Friend of mine pulled a biggen outta lake wylie a few months ago... couldnt believe it till I saw the pictures

Yep there's a few living in ol Lake Norman. Not native to the lake so they must be transplants from Lake James, etc! Kind of how the spotted bass got here I'd guess. Glad to hear about them, hope they make it and flourish.
There are hybrid stripers in here now too. The Striper clubs put over 5,000 fingerlings in this Winter. Those are going to wreck people's AL rigs.![]()

The spots were put in by anglers in the dead of night along with alewives and bluebacks. The DNR had nothing to do with. If was up to them it would still be the dead sea. Now if we could just figure out a way to kill all them damn grasscarp the state keeps puttin there that lake would be awesome.
I don't always find schooling fish but when I do I backlash on the first cast
bow hunting!... wait.. your allowed one grass carp per day.. they got their bases covered
