I hear they are letting the lake get low and the grass is very thick cuz they gonna drop it to build a bigger dam.
Anyone goes to Harris regularly can shed some light on this? Its a small lake anyhow (which is good) but if it is choked up with grass, it MAY make it a booger for our Tourny Nov 20th. This could effect the Feb/mar tournies too.

Mark, all that is BS. They are not dropping water and the grass is not matted up any worse then it has been in years past.
Actually it is less... Fishing is great out there right now and has been all year. Matted grass is only on some main lake banks and is nowhere to harm running a boat. I am out there 4-5 days a week.

What's up with the road from Hollaman's crossing to the ramp? A couple weeks ago they stripped off the top asphalt, figured if they were gonna replace it they would have by now.
They put tar and gravel over the top.. Not sure why, probably tired of getting calles for motorcycles flying down that road. What a pain that crap is.

Sounds like we are back to the old days. Not sure the timeline but it originally was gravel up through the 80's. Can't remember when they paved it.
I am kinda glad. Some of the pleasure boaters would fly down that road taking up both lanes. I have been over in the grass several times to get out of some idiots way.
