Trolling motor questions folks. Has anyone ran both the Garmin force and Ultrex that can tell me which one steers the closest to the way a cable steer Minkota fortrex steers? I’ve got to make a decision on what I want on my new ranger aluminum vs1882 deep v but HATED the foot pedal on on the Terrova I had a few boats ago so I’m having them dump the power drive that’s on it.....I definitely am looking for that cable steer feel. I do have garmin 1242 xsv with livescope..... I know it makes sense to go garmin but the foot pedal is key.


Also, with me running livescope transducer on trolling motor shaft 8” above motor housing, will the garmin be long enough with 57” shaft to keep transducer in water. That’s the longest they offer. Ultrex offers 60”.
