need gears for a 97 225 johnson motor

I need gears for lower unit. They are back ordered is there any where else to get them? online or some one whom has them in hand. My boat has been down for two weeks waiting

I'll know more by Mon. the 11th after gears were backordered my mechanic went on vacation and will be back Mon. so I'll let you know. I think you mean $275 each for forward and Pinion gears, right.

I'm not sure what you're asking, but the Forward & Pinion come as a set together, the set is 275.00, And the reverse is 160.00 Hope this clarifies!
