    Buggs Island Information?

I plan on asking this same question on the other thread but thought someone here might know also. I heard yesterday that there is a desease or parasite on the largemouth bass at Buggs Island. I haven't been to the lake in quite some time and as of now I don't plan on making the trip anytime soon not due to this fish concern but just going to stay closer to home waters. Thanks Guys.

yeah, it sux .... i had friend who was there 2 weeks ago and he said him and partner fished 8 hrs and only caught 3 fish... 2 were short with no sores and 1 that would go @ 3lbs that was coverd in sores.... they're recommending that you power wash your boat and bleach live wells and replacing all line and bleaching rods reels and everything that touches water after leaving so not to spread to other lakes.... guess you'll have to come down and fish High Rock instead which isn't bad idea now anyway !!! i'm going to Kerr next tuesday so i'll update you with 1st hand account on how bad it truely is then..

Yep Russell13 Up until 3 months ago when I sold my camper I was going up to Buggs from G'boro just about every weekend. Don't guess I'll be going back anytime soon. Like you suggessed head to The Yadkin Chain of Lakes, Belews Creek, Jordan Lake, Mayo Res. near Roxboro, NC and or any other lake in NC except Norman, Randleman, or Gaston.
