    Perspective mount

I have a perspective mount for my live scope. I really like what I can see without it but I may be missing something by not using it. If I do the update and don't like it can I switch back? I have a hard time grasping how you can tell the depth and distance away from you and see things to the side when it appears to me the transducer would only show everything around you but not be able to tell the different depths of targets because it would be turned sideways. Anyone have their thoughts. How do you guys line perspective?

The lines on the screen are your distances to the sides and in front of you. Perspective mode puts a grid on the full screen.

But does it tell you the depth down of your target. Seems like perspective is more for shallow water and the normal noise is better for deeper water?

No it doesn’t tell you the depth when you see fish. You kinda gotta figure that on your own judging from depth of water you are sitting in. The transducer needs to be able to adjust horizontal angle when it is flipped into perspective mode. It would be like having a perspective forward and perspective down which I think would help at times. I have only used it a couple times in perspective mode so far so I’m not 100% on having it figured out to really like it yet myself.

Same deal as side imaging as far as depth of target. Distance between target and it's sonar shadow is what you go by
