I fished there two years ago. It was way down. Caught a couple of small ones and that was it. There was a good bit of grass when I was there. Nice lake. I think I'm fishing a tourney there in May.
any specific colors? cranks? spinnerbaits? plastics? Thanks
No not really just a bunch of junk fishing. When are you planning on going? I might go monday maybe.
I don't know for sure. I fishing with a family member and don't have all the details yet.

Buckhorn is awesome. Several years ago I would have ranked it as the best lake in NC. The state went in there and raped the place to restock the Roanoke river. Nothing like scrwing up one place to try to patch one that is already screwed up. Fishing is still good, just not as good as it use to be. Standard colors work there and standard patterns. The fish can be color sensitive so kep changing till you get bit. I would start with GP.
