Actually it does not show up on Mapquest.

You can hit Googlemaps, or just Google Hyco Lake and you will end up with a map. Looks like a drive up NC 119 at Graham off I85/40. Never been there, too far for me to go with all the good lakes w/in an hour of here. Have no idea how to get to a ramp up there. It's at least two hours from Salisbury.

I-85 north to Graham. Route 119 north to route 58 (I think...and there's a town named Samora where 58 intersects). turn right on 58. When you cross a bridge, make the next right and keep looking to the right for the ramp.

It's been a few years since I've been there, so I may be slightly wrong...and Hyco IS on mapquest.

Hyco Creek, maybe. But not Hyco Lake or Hyco, at least on my Mapquest.

I didn't check Hyco Creek when I looked earlier, just making the comment that Hyco Lake was not there.

Course, I live on this side of the river, so it may not be up to date over here

It must be your location because I'm looking right at it on mapquest right now. It's just to the right of Semora and highway 57 crosses it. Yes, I said highway 58 before, but it's 57. It doesn't say Hyco, but the water is there on my map.

    Re: Directions (BuzzB8)

Oh the water's on my map too, but I am way to lazy for that.. I wanted to enter Hyco Lake in the text entry form and have it take me to my choice of ramps!

When I type in Hyco Lake or Hyco in the 'Directions' tab, it asks me if I want to discuss Hyco Creek.

Google worked much better for me. But that's because I am lazy and old. Don't know which attribute I have more of

Isn't there just one ramp at Hyco? They have a lake patrol and they charge to launch. I believe it's $15 or $20 unless you get the yearly pass.
