Crabbing?

Hey Guys,
Anyone know of a public place for me to take the kids crabbing? I have access to 40, 70 & 95 from Johnston county.

The city dock at the Manteo waterfront, and the public ramp to the left of Tranquil House Inn, also in Manteo.

Take 64 till you get to roanoke Island. Follow the old bridge route thru Mann's Harbor ( meaning turn left at the stopligh before the big bridge ), Turn left on Fernando Street, big green overhead sign that talks of the Queen Elizabeth II, Waterfront , and something about a route 200 that sticks in my mind.. When you round the corner three blocks down, you'll see parking places on the street in front of the Roanoke Island Inn. ( PS *GREAT* place to stay ) There's a boardwalk there to the City Pier, which is basically all of the boardwalk. At the other end is the Tranquil House Inn, at the island bridge, and the ramp is on the other side of that bridge. You can catch crabs all along that path, blues will grab a chicken neck in a heartbeat and hang on for days ..
