    Headin' to the Yadkin...

...Sat am to wade for a few smallies. Buddies of mine went last Sunday and had 3 over 3lbs- on 6lb test!!! Most on top water...some nice spots mixed it. Can't wait! Takin' the water proof camera, hoping to snap a few good ones....

Re: Headin' to the Yadkin... (THIN MAN)

Sorry guys, my camera floated away from me early in the day which means no picks or proof of what we caught. Between 3 of us we caught apprx. 45 fish. Mostly smallies with spots mixed in. Pop'r and a white fluke were the baits of choice that worked for us. 4 of the smallies close to 3lbs most in the 1.5lb range. Best spot was close to 3lbs as well but it broke me off at my feet! New-14 lb fireline- POP! Saw more snakes than fish. Had a blast! There's nothing like a smallie bustin' topwater!!!! If you get a chance to go when the water is clear do it! Fishing is usually good until late oct.
