Does anyone have any experience with using a torque tamer? Any options other than pop rivets for installing on the skeg? Was thinking of getting one for my 1988 200XP.

I used the ss screws that came with mine w/ locktight. Still need to retorque and locktight from time to time.
I installed a Torque Tab on my 89 200XP and love it. I installed mine using #8 self-tapping SS machine thread screws & Loc-Tite. The ones that came with it were more like a sheet metal screws, I threw those away. I do plan on smoothing out the edges with epoxy in the future.

I learned something new today. (never heard of a torque tamer) I suppose my boat is so slow that it don't need one, or I'd rather "load" a fancy set of camel toes on my boat and run it real slow.![]()

If you can't run with the big dogs, just stay on the porch.
