HOSE CLAMP

Is there a special method or tool needed to take off the crimped on hose clamps. I just replaced the flow rite livewell switch and luckily I got them off with a big plier and screw driver which is most likely not the correct method.

They are a one time use item, so any way you can get them off works !! I've used Dikes, Side Cutters and Nippers to remove them.
