I bought two sets of 6 series A light kits for my bass boat deck. Instead of running those all individually to adistribution bar which has a 3amp fuse for each slot, a common ground post, etc., can I daisy chain these off each other all the way to a switch powered by a fuse box? If so,
will I also need an inline fuse going to the line into the switch from the lights as well as one in the fuse box? I ask this because
each light is allotted a 3amp fuse unto itself. What size fuse(s)? I am trying not to run all those wires if possiblebut I will if need to. I’ve emailed Rigid this same post but haven’t gotten an answer back yet. Thanks.

I have 6 daisy chained, all to an 10 amp acc power source on my fuse box. A rocker on/off switch and a dimmer (that I added later). Been fine for 2 years.

Well each set of 6 draws only 1.2amps and the lights gauge wire is 20-24awg. I’m just not good at figuring the size fuse I’d need. I know if they’re run in parallel the voltage remains the same but the amps are doubled so that would be a draw of 2.4amps. So am I right in thinking a 3amp Inline fuse at the switch and in the fuse box will suffice?

3 amp is fine, but you only need 1.
