Swamp cooler/portable AC- anyone made one that works decent?

I have a couple deer blinds, and we grow some forage soybeans and alfalfa on the farm, which usually equates to some pretty good early season hunting. However, even into late sept there are days when it's just too damn hot to sit the blinds. I was thinking about making a swamp cooler to put in the blinds but while there are hundreds of them on YouTube- all the videos are more of "look what I made" without any substance as to "do they really work".

We have a fridge/freezer at the cabin on the farm but no ice maker, so if I did this I'd likely have to use frozen bottles (liter or 2 liter bottles most likely) and not loose ice- if that makes a difference. If Anyone made one i'd be interested to know if you thought they'd help us tolerate a hot evening in the box blind, or not likely?

I made this one a few weeks ago and it works great. I got some of the items on his list cheaper at Lowe’s with my Military discount.
