    Anyone from the Amherst Area???

Texan comin' to town in a few weeks doing some promotional work for Dick's Sporting Goods. On the map, I see Amherst is right next to Eerie and I was hoping I'd be able to get out and chase some smallies. If anyone is fortunate enough to get out on a Tuesday or Wednesday, let me know. I've got my own gear and will pay for expenses.

    Thanks in advance,

    Jim Featherston

I'm in search of smallies and would love to get out on the big water of Erie or Champlain - not sure it really matters. Now being from Texas, I'm not going to cry I'm a genius but my map shows Amherst to be right next to Buffalo which is right next to the Northeast shore of Erie. Seems to be a little closer than Champlain although I'm open to discussion on the matter.

We have a town, Amherst here in NH, it is a couple of towns over. Your a few states away. Get a lil closer and I,m sure someone could make it happen.

Would that be Amherst, Mass, New Hampshire or Amherst NY? It makes about an 8 or 9 hr difference on how close you are to Lake Erie

If you want the best fishing in the north east.......go to the 1,000 island area of the st.lawrence river in ny. I will guarantee that you go back some day.
