    Southern Mass. lakes

Hey all you cape area guys....any open water down there? I'm thinking about headed that way this weekend if I can put it in. Long Pond in Lakeville, if it's clear. Things are starting to get thin up here, but it's still a week or 2 off.

I did manage to go out with a couple BBC guys in SC last week...sunny and 80, largemouths just getting on the beds. Coming back to a foot of snow almost made me find a length of rope and a tall tree. I'm ready....let's get this going!!!!!

I went to Lakeville this morning. Got two bass and some pickerel. Had to wash the salt off the boat and trailer when I got home but it was worth the trouble.

I take 495 to route 18. Take right off ramp and follow 18 straight. Pass the dunkin doughnuts. I cant have to stop. The ramp is another mile and half from there.

Found the fish on Sunday on Long Pond. About 40 fish between 3 and 6 pm, the biggest being a 5-1 bass, along with several in the 2-3 pound range. Also caught a pickerel that was about 30 inches. Had a great day, even though it was a bit chilly at the end. Just about everything was caught on LC jerkbaits, and all from an area about an acre big. Happy hunting boys!!!!
