update on BPSOW in Foxboro

Dunno if anyone else saw the piece, but a few nights ago Fox25 News did a report on Bob Craft's "Patriot Place" mall. They reported that one of the anchor stores, the new BPS Outdoor World, is scheduled for opening in November '07. Evidently they just began ground-breaking and soil work. Sad news for those of us hoping it would open in time for this fishing season

They would have to have moved into a existing building to be open for this years season. I doubt it will be open this fall. I am more interested in the Cabelas that is possibly comeing to Hooksett. I never get anything from bps. I get tackle from local tackle shops and bait co owners.Cabelas supplys my fishing rain gear and close. That bps will kill a lot of local shops up here. My .02. Rod

Heard about that Cabelas rumor also Rod. Heard that they didn't get what they wanted to hear up there and the focus had turned to Middleboro Ma. Haven't heard anything since. Personally I hope it goes up there.Middleboro is the next town over from me & to have all that stuff that close is not good.

Cabela's is opening a new store here in Maine this fall. It will be just south of Portland in Scarboough.

If I had money, I always said I would build a Cabelas on one corner and a Bass Pro on the other right near the state liquor stores in New Hampshire, this way you get the vacationers going to New Hampshire and Maine all at once. I would be retired in a year,plus my future grand kids would never have to work a day in there lives,thats how much money they would be in. Remember you get the whole east coast (N.Y.,N.J Penn,Ct. Mass) that summer vacation in Maine,never mind the hunters !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just read today that Cabela's in Hooksett is almost all set. It's looking real good!
