We need some "fishing report" moderators that really know what's going on with some of the lakes in Mississippi.... If you have a lake that you fish regularly and don't mind posting some lake reports or monitor others info then give me a shout..... I'll make it worth your time...
All ya have to do is ask in this forum and these fellas can give ya some good info.

Best I can tell is everyone here drinks coffe and nobody fishes...Look at the everyday "good morning" post and they get 25 responses, look at the post about fishing on ross barnett...it gets 6 post over three days...
Best advice I can give is don't fish Columbus...

Don't knock Barnett! I use it every time I need to break in a new engine or take some on the water pics. I'm not sure if it has any fish or not!

I know him also and have a pretty funny story from the first time I really ever met. Will say this before my story, dude is one HELL of a good fisherman down on Ross Barnett !!
First time I ever locked was down in Columbus locking down to Aliceville. Was fishing a BFL and I was nervous as a pole cat. Was on the fish to win this thing but that is another story. Ended up in the top 10 some where and would have to look to know for sure.
When I pulled into the lock I tied up next to Shannon. He had just gotten back from Toledo Bend or something like that. Had a damn frog tied on one of his poles I know weighed at least 5 pounds. Was the biggest damn frog I had ever seen tied on a fishing pole and he had everybody in the lock laughing by the time we went through !!
I would love to have Colubus or RB close to me. They are better fisheries than ya'll give them credit for. Try fishing the coast and you'll appreciate it. I swear bass fishing is tougher here than anywhere in the state.
Shannon is the man to beat on the trails at Barnett.

If it were any tougher than here, I believe I'd just quit...
at least you don't have to deal with the tide... you can catch fish in a spot then later in the day it will be dry land. columbus is loaded with big fish too. A 4 pounder here is a monster

Derek speaks the truth. I hated bass fishing down there.
I fish Maynor Creek, Bogue Homa and a couple of other lakes in this area pretty often. Don't know how much help I would be but I would be glad to give a weekly report. At the very least everyone would know what not to do

it's one of those things you have to adapt to, the Good Lord also gave us trout and redfish and flounder to supplement bass fishing
Ive been told that if you start redfishing, you'll forget all about bass..
